Cherry Trees Blooming Unseen

‘Cherry Trees Blooming Unseen’

10″ x 10″ oil painting on wood panel with a 7/8″ profile. Just like my stretched canvas paintings, the image wraps around the sides of the wood panel and does not require framing.

Painted in the studio at the beginning of the Covid shutdown, I imagined how desolate Hains Point and East Potomac Park near Washington DC must be. The beauty of blossoming trees is breathtaking and this year the majority of people could not get to it.
