Having moved to Colorado Springs in July 2020 and now making it our forever home, my first plein air event took place in Manitou Springs for ‘Manitou Paints’ 2020, an annual event. In order to familiarize myself with the color and feel of this part of the country I painted several “practice” paintings including this one. There is going to be an online auction of the painting that I did en plein air via the Manitou Arts Center on October 2nd. You can see pictures from that event at:
