Rampart Range Road is about 22 miles that starts at Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, goes through Pike National Forest and ends up at Woodland Park. It’s really fun bumpy beginner’s drive to off-roading.
The thing that becomes startling during the drive is that the fire in 2012 has left a vertical graveyard of mostly aspen trees. With that said there are many signs that Mother Nature has begun the process of birth and renewal with new baby aspens.
‘Rampart Range Road Regrowth’ is acrylic and oil on Somerset print making paper prepared with texture paste. The painting measures 13.5” x 18”. It requires framing.
