I am Susan Krieg, Mixed Media Artist, Designer and Muralist. I began working professionally in 1989 as a water colorist for Accent Graphics in Phoenix. I moved to New York City in 1996 where I exhibited my figurative paintings and designed several sets for Six Figures Theater Company. By the time I left New York in 1998, my stage design art was taking on mural size proportions and it was a natural progression to move toward mural work once I arrived in Los Angeles. I've lived on the West Coast and the East Coast, in the Midwest, the Northwest and the Southwest, and currently I live in Colorado Springs. I love taking classes. In the late 70s I studied painting and drawing at Cal College of the Arts in SF. I studied figure drawing at The Art Students League in NYC, trompe l'oeil at Otis in Los Angeles and I enjoyed many at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria. Being in Colorado I love painting plein aire. I am influenced by Modigiliani, Picasso, Lempicka, Dunand and life in general.
